A team of 16 recreational members from Icon traveled over the bridge to attend the 2016 North Harbour Schools competition. They won 2 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze medals. Well done guys!!

July 2013 Australian Nationals! Welcome home Janine (coach), Alexa (athlete), Jess (athlete), Phil (judge) and Tania (chaperone). The New Zealand Team competing in Sydney at this year Australian Nationals left the Aussie gobsmacked with their outstanding results. NZ came home with a total of 16 Gold, 8 Silver and 6 Bronze medals. Alexa Kennedy from Icon brought home 4 gold and 1 silver medals and Jessica Thompson also brought home a silver medal for her performance on Synchro with Kate Nicholson, Under 17 Women. Well done guys, you made us all proud!!
June 2013 Good on ya girls! After hours of training and buckets of sweat, Icon’s Alexa Kennedy and Jess Thompson from have qualified for the Australian National Championships to be held in Sydney later in the year. They will join others from around NZ. They also do synchronised trampoline together. Icon’s Janine Glover will also be attending as the team coach and Phil Henry a past athlete had made the judging team. Tania Thompson, Jess’s mother has volunteered as team chaperone. Have a sweet time ladies!
May/June 2013 Flippin’ Brill!! Icon has hosted two competitions in the past month, the Auckland/Manukau Competition and the ICON Invitational. We were host to athletes aross the north Island, including some World Championship level trampolinists. There was plenty of talent, spotprizes, craziness and FUN!
Mar 2013 Fantastic effort from three of our ICON judges who have just passed the Federation of International Gymnastics Judges course, held in Sydney. Janine Glover has retained her FIG Level 2. Phillip Henry achieved FIG Level 4 and Lance Henry is now at Level 3. Well done to you all, it is extremely difficult to attain this level. FIG level 1 is the highest level.
Feb 2013 Watch out for that tree! Icon competitive crew had a fantastic day out at Tree Adventures, swinging through the trees. This team building exercise was an amazing day out. We are brainstorming what we will do next..
Jan 2013 Congratulations to Alexa Kennedy who was one of two woman chosen to represent NZ at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival in Sydney Australia. She came back with a Gold medal in synchronised trampoline with her parter Lizzie Stevenson from Christchurch. She also won the silver medal in individual trampoline. All competitors are 13-17 years old. Alexa was 13! Well done Alexa! Janine attended as coach.
Oct 2012 Congratulations to Alexa Kennedy who came away with a Gold medal in individual trampoline 13/14 women at the Indo Pacific Championships held in Sydey, Australia. We are so proud! This competition is an international standard competition between Japan, Australia, NZ, Brazil, Canada, U.S.A, Argentina and South Africa. Janine attended as coach and Lance as a judge.
Oct 2012 Fantastic Results from Icon Trampoline club at the 2012 NZ National Championships held in Dunedin. Highlights were were conquering the steepest street in NZ, the Cadbury factory, swaggin’ break dancing and our massive haul of medals from 5 competitors (Brayden, Hayden, Aleisha, Jess and Alexa.) – 4 Golds, 2 silvers and bronze! JT and Janine attended as coaches, parent helpers were Dale (equipment), Corinne (Marshall) and Tania, Judy and Paula – chaperones. Chur!

Aug 2012 Congratulations to Alexa Kenedy who represented New Zealand at the Australian National Championships 2012 and won Bronze in the Junior International Womens Individual trampoline section and Silver in the Junior International Womens Synchronised Trampoline Section. Congratulations to Phillip Henry and Janine Glover who were also selected to travel with the New Zealand team as Judge and Coach and also Kierran Tuhi who was selected to represent New Zealand in the Senior International Mens section however was unable to attend this competition.
Nov 2011 Hearty congrats to three of ICON’s finest and coach Janine Glover who travelled to Birmingham, England for the World Championships. This event is the pinnacle of achievement for trampolining. Kierran represented NZ proudly in Open Men’s Trampoline and Open Men’s Syncronised trampoline with Jaime from Extreme Trampoline club. They came 19th! Josie Te Rata came 10th in the 17-18 Womens Double Mini Category, well done! She was also the dux of Epsom Girls Grammer School for Year 13! Alexa Kennedy represented in tramp, syncro and double mini. Nineth in all disciplines, missing finals by one place. They each gained valuable experience and for Josie and Kierran, it has been the highlight of their careers.
Sept 2011 A Massive haul of medals from ICON was gained at the 2011 Nationals in the North Shore of Auckland. 10 medals, one trophy and one sensational shield. Thanks to our coaches Janine, Scott and Lance, everyone performed at their peak. The team double mini shield was won by Kierran, Sean, Phil and Alexa. This coveted award is highly sought after and it relies on every member of the team to pull out their best two double mini passes. Good job Icon.
Oct 2010 Konichi Wa! Nearly every member of the ICON senior group was selected to compete at the Indo Pacific Champs in Kakegawa, Japan. Japan and Lance attended as coach and judge. Everyone came out saying this was one of, if not the best trampoline trip they have ever experienced. Highlights were roaming the streets of a Japanese town, visiting a temple, karaoke, the kindness of the people and the fun we had with other countries, and can’t forget Tokyo Disneyland!
